# Decline a Reservation

> How to reject a pending reservation request, with an optional reason.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the reservation">
    From **Reservations → Pending**, click into the request you want to decline.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Decline">
    The reservation's status changes to **Cancelled**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Optionally select a reason">
    A reason dropdown appears so you can log why: Fully Booked, Outside Hours, Party Too Large, Guest Request, or Other. This is for your own records and reporting — it isn't required.
