If you need a moment to physically check whether a table is free — instead of letting the countdown timer run out — put the reservation on hold.
Open the reservation
From Reservations → Pending, click into the request.
Click On Hold
The countdown timer pauses. The reservation shows an On Hold badge in the list.
Confirm or decline once you know
Go back into the reservation and take the action once you’ve checked availability.
A hold only lasts 5 minutes. After that, the countdown timer resumes from where it left off — so don’t leave a reservation on hold indefinitely if you’re not ready to act.
